- Once your Substitute Certificate has been issued through DESE, please submit your substitute application online.

Pay Scale
- The daily salary for a substitute teacher is $80.00.

Long term assignment for a particular teacher: Beginning the 11th consecutive day your pay will increase to $100.00 per day. Once that particular long term assignment has ended, the rate returns to $80.00 per day.
Payroll dates are the 20th of each month with the last day of the month being the cutoff date for calculating the amount each month. Payroll checks will be deposited into the substitute's account.
